How fees work
What you pay depends on how you pay. Each answer is here in plain words, and the front desk goes through yours before your first visit.
Insurance we work with
We bill many kinds of plans and tell you whether we are in network with yours before you book. The list is by type of plan, not by company. The front desk checks your plan card.
Most PPO plans
Medicare
Medicaid
Workers' compensation
Auto injury coverage
If you pay yourself
If you do not use insurance, you pay for each visit on the day, and we tell you the fee before you book. A team, club or event pays under a written agreement that we quote before the first date.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, we give you a written estimate before your first visit: what we expect each visit to cost and what it includes. If a bill comes to $400 or more above the estimate, federal law lets you dispute it. You can ask for an estimate at any time.
Checking your benefits
Our front desk checks your benefits and calls you with what they find, before your first visit. The form asks only for your name, phone and email. Your plan has the final say on what it pays, and your copay, deductible and coinsurance are set by your plan.
What the first visit includes
About an hour with a physical therapist. They listen, examine you, explain what they find and agree on a plan with you. They also explain the risks and the choices.
Questions about paying
Does my plan cover this, and do you take Medicare?
We bill many kinds of plans, including most PPO plans, Medicare, Medicaid, military health coverage, workers' compensation and auto injury coverage. Your plan decides what it pays. We check your benefits and call you before your first visit.
What if I pay myself?
We give you a written estimate before your first visit, and you pay for each visit on the day. We do not bill your plan.
Who pays for a team or event?
The club, school or host pays under a written agreement we quote before the first date. Athletes are not billed for team coverage.
Do you treat work or auto injuries?
Yes. If you were hurt in a crash or at work, get emergency care first. Tell us who your adjuster is. Your state decides who may direct your care. We explain how your bills are handled before you start.
