Youth athlete
Physical therapy for school and club athletes, with a parent at the first visit and a plan the coach can follow.
This care is for you if
A knee, heel or shoulder keeps hurting after practice
Your athlete plays one sport all year
A coach or trainer suggested a visit
You want to understand what to do before the next practice

What a visit looks like
What we do
We listen to the athlete and the parent, watch how the athlete moves, and teach strength and mobility work that fits the sport. Parents stay in the room.
What decides how many visits
What your therapist finds, how the athlete responds and how the season is planned. We do not promise a number of visits.
Who treats you
A physical therapist leads your care. A physical therapist assistant may guide drills under their direction. A parent or guardian comes to the first visit.
Meet the teamHow it is paid for
With your plan or by paying yourself. We tell you what to expect before your first visit.
How fees workWhen to see a doctor first
Talk to your pediatrician and a physical therapist who works with young athletes if something is new, severe or follows a head injury. A hard hit to the head needs a physician first.
What to bring
Shoes and clothes for the sport, a water bottle, your plan card and a photo ID. Bring any note from the school or coach.
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.
