Tendon and overuse
Care for sore tendons and overworked areas that built up over weeks of training, not in one moment.
This care is for you if
Pain at the heel, kneecap, elbow or shoulder grows with training
It eases when you warm up and comes back afterward
You changed your training and want to know what to change next
Rest helped for a while, then the pain returned

What a visit looks like
What we do
Your therapist plans how much and how often you train, builds strength your tendon can take, and treats sore areas by hand. Where state law allows, some of our therapists also offer dry needling, after extra training.
What decides how many visits
How long the problem has been there, how your tendon responds to load and how your season is built. We talk it through and change the plan with you.
Who treats you
A physical therapist leads your care. A physical therapist assistant may guide drills under their direction.
Meet the teamHow it is paid for
With your plan or by paying yourself. We tell you what to expect before your first visit.
How fees workWhen to see a doctor first
A sudden pop, a tendon that will not take weight, or swelling that spreads needs a physician first.
What to bring
Clothes and shoes you train in, your plan card and a photo ID. Bring any brace or tape you use, and your doctor's or surgeon's instructions.
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.
Questions about this care
Do you do dry needling?
Some of our physical therapists do, where Alabama law allows and after the training it requires. It is one tool among others. Your therapist explains what it involves, the risks and the choices before you decide. Ask which therapist at booking.
Will I have to stop training?
Usually you change it rather than stop it. Your therapist tells you what to cut back, what to keep and what to add.
